You can see that you all have nothing on your mind. France wasn't bankrupt, nor did this woman cost too much. It was not France that made a Revolution, only Parliament. The ministers got rid of the King so they are now our government. Nobody chops off Meghan Markle's head???

You somehow found away to talk about this movie without mentioning the most obvious thing which is race given the importance of it (or lack of)it in the film. It's not your responsibility to speak out on it (even tho its the only thing you profit off of) but it is interesting you went into every tiny little detail....but that one...?

Sorry to be late. They recommended it when I was touring Versailles, because it was actually filmed there.I loved it because they showed what a little girl she was when she was sent into that mess.

This movie was my stepping stone into becoming completely in love with Marie Antoinette and reading all the books and watching all documentaries on her so this movie has a special place in my heart

And I have a Marie Antoinette tattoo based off a portrait of her and Kristen dunce

Thank you for reminding me why I loved this movie in my teens. I even learned more about the costume design elements I didn't know before! Coming back to this movie is part of this phase of my life where I'm re-embracing femininity and learning to love without embarrassment or shame. :)

The visual portrayal of Madame du Barry was a disaster though. Making her a brunette and dressing her in dark colors made the whole villain subplot over the top and corny. It was way too heavy handed.
