Hey the Rock I have been going through hell right now. I got my son Darrel taken out of my care back in Friday, March 17th of 2022 and put into a forster home in spirit lake, ia. Me and my son Darrel Wedeking has been apart from each other since Friday March 17th 2022. And I have visitation every Wednesday night from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. It's so hard to watch my son Darrel go back to the forster home in spirit lake, ia. My son Darrel Wedeking is 8 years old and he is in 2 grade in Milford, ia elementary school. The only thing that hurts me right now the Rock is being apart from my son this year. I just wanted you to keep me in prayer because I have to go back to court on May 2nd 2023 at 1:00pm the Rock. The Rock that's all I want to wish for is my son Darrel back home with me forever and ever the Rock.

I get what he's doing & I absolutely love/respect him for what he does/feels for our Vets, but I have to agree with Miss Marlene in her response. Let me explain: She's responding selflessly from a 3-fold position, if I may be so bold as to assume. 1. Esprit de Corps in that she feels part of the Big picture, Unit, etc. 2. Honor, which is Very similar to example #1 in that she DOESN'T seek the spotlight/is uncomfortable in being Singled out for recognition for just DOING her job to the BEST of her abilities & HIGHEST Standards of her Respective Branch. And Finally, #3....I'm pretty sure that she's feeling what's known as "Survivor's Guilt", meaning while she's obviously Grateful to be Alive & have made it back home, she DEEPLY FEELS the LOSS of those who DIDN'T & can't accept something (Praise/Gifts) that she feels OTHERS earned Posthumously. A Proud USMC Vet said this. May GOD Continue to Bless America!!

Ofcourse they pick the bull dike that sat on a fob everyday , her combat action was driving humvees over IEDs , army gives out combat action ribbons and Purple Hearts like candy ! Glad she served yada yada, but not surprised she is who they’d pick to honor

Tearing up. Being a vet myself I admire her attitude. She deserves it. And stop feeling guilty. I understand, but what happened was not your fault. Happy trails!
